May Arna Risberg PT, PhD. Associate Professor, Physical Therapist, NAR, Orthopedic Center, Ullevaal University Hospital, Hjelp24NIMI, and Norwegian School Sport Sciences. She is the main supervisor for 6 PhD students and 5 master students in the field of active rehabilitation, ACL injuries, knee OA, hip OA, osteoporosis, active rehab after breast cancer surgery, and active rehab for patients with chronic heart failure. 

Research area; active rehabilitation and musculoskeletal disorders. She has worked with ACL injuries, rehabilitation and evaluation methods for nearly 20 years. Recent research have focused on screening tests and classification of knee function after ACL injury and the effect of neuromuscular exercises, both clinically and biomechanically.

 

May Arna is the head researcher of the National Center for Active Rehabilitation (NAR).
